Mark Broadwith has been a research assistant in the Faculty of Education and also for the Centre for Educational Leadership, where he has also worked on the Starpath Project. Mark is a UACEL accredited OTL™ Facilitator and works on certain contracts for us, particularly presenting implications from his work with Starpath. Prior to this, Mark worked as a primary school principal in Auckland for 12 years. He completed a Masters of Professional Studies in Education, at the University of Auckland, in 2010, focused on teaching of philosophy in schools. Mark worked as a teacher in the UK, across all age groups, before returning to New Zealand in 1997 as founding principal of the newly forming (Independent) primary school in Auckland, Ficino School. He brings some valuable experience and different perspectives to the team. Mark is a qualified Open-to-learning™ Leadership Facilitator through UACEL and also works with the team across different projects, such as the Growing Great Leaders course, in a support role.
Mark is currently an Expert Partner to two Communities of Learning across the North Island.
