Leadership – programme design and facilitation

Richard joined CEL after a successful 26 year career as a primary principal in Dunedin and rural Otago. During this time he provided leadership in multiple settings including small, rural; inner city, low decile; and large, upper decile.

Richard is a former Woolf Fisher Fellow and was a First-time Principal Programme mentor for ten years. He is a past president and Life Member of the Otago Primary Principals Association and remains actively involved in several school leadership forums.

Richard leads the ongoing review and development of the Growing Great Leaders™ 1 (GGL1™) programme and is a key member of our Evolve New Principal Program (Melbourne, Victoria) team. In addition, Richard plays a key role within the design and delivery of centrally funded PLD for schools, and co-delivers our LITHE (Leaders Influencing Teachers High Expectations) program with Professor Christine Rubie-Davies.
